Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled some frequently asked questions for you.

Our blog focuses on amplifying African women’s voices through book reviews and recommendations and discussing themes like migration and belonging.

The best way to support African women’s writing is to buy their books, leave honest reviews on public platforms, and recommend them to your friends and family.

If you are an African woman or woman of African descent and would like us to review your book, please get in touch via the contact page or email me directly at africanwomenwriting@gmail.com.

If you’ve read a book by an African woman or woman of African descent and you would like to submit a book review of your own, please get in touch.

If you are not an author but want to submit some writing (maybe you want to tell your story or thoughts on relevant topics), please get in touch.

We explore themes such as motherhood, Black joy, Ubuntu, and the lived experiences.

While we centre those women’s voices, we encourage all people to engage with the content and dialogue. Ubuntu – we are because you are – is one of our key values and as such we are all a community through our shared and interconnected humanity.
